As a Terrence Parker fan, this is an important project for me.
I'm currently dabbling in cassette futurism functional sculpture. I'm building a single-monitor headPHONE for live DJ performance. Salvaged from a 1970s Johnson/Messenger 130A CB radio telephone and rebuilt from the inside out.
The parts I currently have include a Bose 40mm headphone driver, a Shure SM57 microphone capsule and lots of salvage for parts.
It is my aim to build this thing out so I can hear my mix, broadcast over the mic within the mouthpiece & use the speakerphone as a monitor. On the bottom side there will be DJ booth lighting — you know, just in case I drop something.
